FAQ

Why do my windows need professional cleaning?

Cleaning by qualified and well-trained professionals with the proper equipment—including high-grade biodegradable soap—can go far to remove long-standing pollen, dirt, and hard water, or construction residue from your windows. This will prolong the lifespan of your windows, increase your passive solar heating capactity, and of course, beautify your home or business as well!

What region do you work in?

We work in the Pioneer Valley, including Amherst, Northampton, Hadley, South Hadley, Easthampton, Holyoke, Longmeadow, Hatfield, and Greenfield. If you don’t see your town on the list, contact us and we will try to make it work!

How often should I have my windows cleaned?

Most clients are satisfied with once yearly, but if you live in a heavily pollinated or woodsy area, or have recently completed construction work, more frequent cleanings are recommended.

Why should my windows be cleaned after my house is power washed?

Power washing can leave hard water marks and fog on your windows, and can even permanently damage or etch the glass with harsh solutions and chemicals, if not properly dealt with in time. To avoid any potentially permanent issues, we recommend having your windows cleaned very soon after or in conjunction with having your house power washed.

Why should I get both sides of my windows cleaned?

The majority of the time, the interior side of a window is much dirtier than you think. While it’s true that pollen, rain, and debris will make the exterior more visibly dirty, as soon as that exterior is cleaned, the accumulation of dust and debris on the inside will be much more apparent. Years of dust buildup can block enough light to give your windows a blueish tint, and cleaning it yourself can cause chemical etching of the glass, micro-scratches, and more dust. A professional cleaning of both sides will be comparable to brand-new windows. Aesthetic value aside, cleaning your interiors will provide a significant increase in natural light entering your home, as well as an increase in passive solar heating, helping to keep you warm and awake during the cold, dark winters!

Are you insured?

Yes, we are registered with the state of Massachusetts and have a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy. We are well-versed in safety precautions and take our work very seriously.

Do you clean windows year-round?

Yes, we are available for your cleaning needs year-round, although spring, summer, and fall are the best times to have your windows cleaned. Winter bookings require scheduling flexibility due to seasonal storms and temperature conditions.

Is your estimate the final price?

We use only the highest quality window cleaning soap available. It is non-toxic, biodegradable, and has proven satisfactory for even the most chemically-sensitive clients. It’s also pet- and child-safe.

For many commercial and residential jobs, we also use a new and desirable Water-Fed Pole (WFP) technology, which utilizes a deionization system to micro-filter water to levels of complete purity
